Q: How much will it cost to ship my item?
A: Shipping rates are based on the total cost of items in your online shopping cart and the country of delivery:
United States (all 50 states and official territories including Armed Forces bases worldwide)
- For orders $300 USD and more, we offer FREE SHIPPING anywhere within the United States and Territories
- For orders less than $50 USD, shipping is a flat fee $7 per order.
- For orders $50-299 USD, shipping is a flat fee $6 per order.
International Group 1 (Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia)
- For orders $300 USD and more, we offer FREE SHIPPING to Canada, Mexico, Australia, and more than 50 countries in Europe.
- For orders less than $300 USD, shipping is a flat fee $25 per order.
International Group 2 (All other countries)
- For orders $2500 USD and more, we offer FREE SHIPPING to the International Group 2 countries listed by name below.
- For orders less than $500 USD, shipping is a flat fee $75 per order.
- For orders $500-2500 USD, shipping is a flat fee $50 per order.
Q: What about customs, duties and taxes for international orders?
A: Orders shipped outside the United States are subject to all customs, duties, and taxes imposed by the country of import. When your shipment arrives at your country's customs office, there may be taxes, fees, and import duties charged in addition to your order total. These additional charges are the responsibility of the customer. Customs charges will vary per item and per country. You can contact your local customs office for details on international import policies and fee structures.
Q: How long will it take for my item to ship?
A: Shipping times vary depending on the product, and we list "manufacturing time" in the product specifications of many items that are not in-stock and are made-to-order prior to shipping.
While some orders begin the shipping process immediately, please expect a 24 to 48 hour period for order processing unless you see a "manufacturing time" listed on the product page for your item.
Shipping occurs once payment is approved, the address is verified, and the item is prepared. If an item is not in stock, you'll be notified by phone & email. If an item needs manufacturing time, you'll receive an email that your order is processed and you can expect it to ship after the manufacturing time listed has elapsed.
Custom jewelry designs may take up to 18-25 days of manufacturing time before they will be ready to ship. Please let us know if you need expedited manufacturing to receive your custom order sooner.
NOTE: Orders with multiple items will be charged one flat shipping rate based on the total cart cost, although items may be shipped separately depending on availability and/or any delays in manufacturing for one item versus another.
Q: What types of shipping methods do you use?
A: We use a variety of carriers and will choose the most appropriate delivery method for your desired shipping address. Each shipment is securely packaged, fully insured, and shipped using only the most reputable and reliable courier services. Carriers include the United States Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, DHL and Freight. It is not possible to specify a preferred carrier when placing your order.
Q: Can I get expedited shipping?
A: Please contact us prior to purchase if expedited shipping is needed -- we will try to accommodate your request. We cannot guarantee a delivery date at the time of purchase, but we've been known to move heaven and earth to get a piece of jewelry in your hands at a certain date if you'll communicate with us how important it is!
Q: What taxes should I expect to pay?
A: United States sales tax will only be assessed for orders shipped to Kentucky, United States at the time of purchase. All other locations worldwide do not have any sales tax assessed to the purchase.
Q: Do you ship to United States PO Boxes, APO and FPO addresses?
A: Yes, we do ship to PO, APO and FPO addresses. We only require signature confirmation on delivery. Customers are responsible for paying all duties, customs, and local/state/federal taxes associated with each order if applicable.
Q: How do you ensure delivery?
A: To protect the security of your shipment, we require an adult signature at the time of delivery, regardless of any waivers you may have with the courier. Our double-boxed packages are fully insured until delivery at the shipping address. Additionally, to ensure that someone will be available to sign for your package, an e-mail message will be sent notifying you that it has been shipped allowing you to track your package from our doorstep to yours.

The Emerald Cut – the emerald cut, or emerald octagon cut (aka rectangular octagon), borrows its name from the ideal way to cut green emerald stones. That happens to be shaping a green emerald into this elongated octagon shape! The shape's elongated style with with non-equal length and width naturally creates longer facets than a smaller stone or squared shape would have. The effect? The emerald cut stone's long, step-cut facets reflect more light and make the stone appear larger than it actually is. The Heart Cut – heart cut stones are shaped like a stylized heart, which shape accounts for its use more than the stone's brilliance (lesser than many other equilateral stone cuts because some of the light is not refracted out as sharply in the valley part at the top of the shape). This brilliant-cut stone only accounts for a few engagement rings out of a hundred we make and sell, but is a common choice for promise rings and unique artisan rings, as well as for gifts given on Valentine's Day. The unique shape of this stone does provide some challenges to gem cutters and jewelry makers who must be aware of some potential pitfalls when working with the shape. Care should also be taken when wearing jewelry with heart cut stones because the shape has a pointed tip that can be prone to chipping and breakage. The Marquise Cut – of all the top center stone shapes, the marquise cut stone is among the least-requested in our CubicZirconia.com catalog, and perhaps the most uncommonly-seen among the gem cuts profiled in this article. Instead of serving as the primary or center stone in a ring or other piece of jewelry, marquise cut stones are more popularly used as accent stones. Although we do feel that a marquise-cut-centered ring design looks exceptional when placed vertically as a perpendicular gem enhancement above the backdrop of a horizontal, wide-banded ring design beneath! Due to its fragile corners and unwieldy shape, many jewelers find this brilliant-cut stone more difficult to work with than many other shapes. The Princess Cut – also known as the square cut stone is one of the most popular and sought after center stone shapes – popularity exceeded only by the round cut both with respect to our own sales and as a jewelry industry standard around the world. With brilliant-cut facets, the princess cut is considered one of the more classic stone shapes. Because of the tricks of the trade to working with this gem shape, many an entire jeweler's career has been spent specializing in either gem-cutting or setting this specific shape into jewelry. The Radiant Cut – The radiant cut, or radiant octagon cut, is also known as a rounded emerald cut. The stone shares the general rectangular shape of the emerald cut, but because of its brilliant cut facets (as compared to the emerald shape's step-cut facets) the lustrous radiant cut reflects even more light than the already super-shiny emerald cut. The brilliant-cut facets of the radiant cut shape also gives the impression that the stone has rounded corners (it doesn't, the corners are acute angles). The Round Cut – the traditional round cut stone is by far the most common center stone shape for rings (and the most popular shape found in most other kinds of jewelry for that matter). The round cut stone has brilliant-cut facets and a shape that is mathematically optimized for maximum light reflection and refraction.
